Backstory
This fishing project was started 8 years ago. Owino and his three friends came together after completing their studies at the university. They looked for jobs but they could not find any. Thus they pulled their small monies together and bought a fishing net as a start. Initially, Owino was selling Tilapia, however, after doing research he changed to Nile perch. Nile perch is highly marketable and very tasty. Owino achieved a lot with this business because Nile perch fish is still available. He has trained many fishermen and those who have studied marine and aquatic animals. The challenge is that the fishing equipment is very costly to buy. They are not found in Kenya, so he needs to import them from Uganda.
