    MAYON VOLCANO ERUPTION EMERGENCY FUND:     PLEASE DONATE WE WILL SEND THE MONEY TO OUR PARTICIPANTS IMMEDIATELY-  THE     MAYON VOLCANO PHILIPPINES MOST ACTIVE VOLCANO BEGAN SPEWING LAVA AND SULFURIC ACID AND ERUPTED ON  JUNE 11, 2023. ALL OF OUR PARTICIPANTS FROM CII ARE IN SHELTERS AND ARE LIVING IN CRISIS. THEIR LIFE HAS BEEN TREMENDOUSLY DISRUPTED. 13,000 RESIDENTS WERE MANDATED TO EVACUATE WITHIN A 3.7 MILE RADIUS WHICH IS CONSIDERED IN THE DANGER ZONE. OVER 1000 RESIDENTS ARE IN SHELTERS. THIS EMERGENCY FUND WILL HELP THEM IN THE MONTHS TO COME TO GET BACK ON THEIR FEET.

MAYON VOLCANO PHILIPPINES MOST ACTIVE VOLCANO BEGAN SPEWING LAVA AND SULFURIC ACID, ERUPTING BACK ON JUNE 11, 2023. 13,000 RESIDENTS who live within the 3.7 mile radius are effected which is considered the danger zone. ALL OF OUR CII/PDC participants ALONG SIDE 1000 OTHER RESIDENTS ARE IN THE EMERGENCY SHELTER.The residents were evacuated because of the danger of rockfalls, landslides and ballistic fragments.The alert level is 3 out of 5. This emergency fund will help them through this crisis in the up coming months. Bicol and the surrounding area has experienced HUNDRED'S of earthquakes which has made living there horrific and very terrifying. About half of our families are living in cramped shelters and the other half are terrified and uneasy, not knowing if they will need to evacuate as well. It is also reported that they are unable to work and that crops have all been destroyed due to the ash from the volcano.

Rosby Nunez one of our family liaisons there in Bicol says "Mayon volcano is flowing pyroplastic materials. That's why now I'm afraid, all people here in our barangay is also afraid maybe were not going to sleep tonight for us to always be alert" email received on 7-29-23 6:20 am PDT

Anecia Cruz another of our family liaisons in Bicol emailed about our CII Participants,  " with the help of our almighty GOD, all Cii families are ok and they are still in the shelter...Just now I went to the shelter and I saw and observe the situation there, is very difficult. The Mayon Volcano is located on Luzon Island about 205 miles (330 km) southeast of Manilla. Mayon is one of the world's most active volcanos. Images coming out of the region initially showed families carrying children and their belongs. Trucks and military personnel were shown taking the residents to the nearby shelter. CII and PDC started engaging with the families in the city of Bicol about 2 1/2 years ago, in 2020. That year our families were hit with 3 tropical cyclones which affected their livelihood. Now they are being severely effected by the Mayon Volcano.
