NEW PROJECT: More projects coming soon
The Philippines is made up of more than 7,000 islands — that’s more than 22,500 miles of coastline. Enough beach for everyone! And it’s a good thing, too, since it’s one of the most populated countries in the world.
Unemployment and underemployment leave many families in the Philippines struggling to meet basic needs. Many parents can’t afford the tuition or uniforms to send their children to school. School quality is often lacking. The Philippines ranks ninth in the world for stunting (reduced growth rate) among children. Regular natural disasters often destroy what families have spent years building.
Children International operates two agencies in Manila and the Bicol region with 14 community centers throughout the country. We aim to create a world without poverty where every child, family and community is connected, productive and thriving.
