Colombia may rank as one of the happiest countries in the world, but it isn’t always full of smiles. 11% of the country is unemployed, and 27% lives below the poverty line, with 7.2% living in extreme poverty. Gang violence in poor communities is common, not all citizens  have access to adequate public health services, and the quality of education can be lacking.

With 10 community centers and a dedicated team on-site, Children International is creating lasting change for the children, youth, and families of these communities. We have programs in place to address challenges related to health, education, life skills, and employment. We aim to create a world without poverty where every child, family and community is connected, productive and thriving. With your help, we can achieve this.
