Theopist Kibangire is a Ugandan farmer who mainly grows maize and beans in Mahani 2, Kamwenge district. This occupation is the main source of livelihood, and he plans to improve it by expanding acreage of farming when he gets more resources
Theopista has been growing maize and beans for some time and it has helped her meet needs of her family. She plans to expand her farming hiring more land to plant more maize. She also plans to adopt better methods of farming by planting higher yield seeds and ensuring timely weeding and applying manure and fertilizers where necessary.
She believes that would significantly improve her income and create employment for her friends whom she sometimes employs on her gardens.

Theopista lives in Mahani 2, Kamwenge district and with her 5 children who are in school and besides farming, she also spends time taking care of her children.
Besides farming, theopista brews a local semi-alcoholic drink locally called 'akariga' that she sells to her community members and in a weekly market and people like it so much and when she received $100 financial support from CII, she used it to buy a kiosk in the market from where she sells the drink
