The impact assessment categories are impact focus, financials, transparency, membership and outreach. Impact focus determines the category and impact direction of an NGO (Advocacy vs Direct Services). Financials evaluate financial metrics to determine the sustainability and well-being of the NGO. Transparency assesses how the NGO builds credibility and trust with the community. Membership examines the level of impact through participation within the NGO. Outreach gauges the events and external partnerships that the NGO has.
Our team suggested the prototype to be an App for everyone which includes a Freemium Business Model (Free basic level, premium subscription for more features), a Distinct Search Functionality where one can search by NGO or SGD, a Social Media Platform and Dual Profile Capability (Different profile features for Investors/Companies). An investor/donor profile will show connections, current, and previous investments featured investments and posts.
Our team suggests that ImpactX should test the recommended methodology. This will be done by sending out assessments to different NGOs, determining and evaluating the validity of scores, refine assessment to accurately reflect impact. ImpactX should also move forward with the app by hiring an app developer, getting the app onto the app store and keeping record of the consumer feedback.
